Ford wants to increase Mercury





Mercury is not dead yet, and to prove it, Ford has the 2008 Mercury Mariner and Mariner Hybrid in an effort to the smaller, luxury SUV and embellish further removed from his Ford Escape reformed brother. Update for the first time since its introduction in late 2004, changes to the sheet-Mariner 2008 front and rear, an elevated waistline, new hood and black B-pillar include forms updated. Front and rear light banks were also significantly improved.

The standard Duratec 2.3-liter producing 153 HP at 5800 rpm and 152 lb-ft of torque at 4250 rpm. Both engines are equipped with a standard four-speed automatic.

Mariner Hybrid is equipped with an engine of 2.3 liter DOHC 16-valve Atkinson cycle four-cylinder engine and a permanent magnet AC synchronous. The gasoline engine produces 133 hp at 6,000 rpm and 124 lb-ft of torque at 4250 rpm. Mariner is available in two trim levels: Mariner and Mariner Premier, the trim includes some improvements, Mariner with Ford.
