Porsche 911 GT3 R hybrid propulsion innovative hybrid will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show 2010, taking the evolution of the iconic sports coupe with a new level in motorsport and opening a new chapter in an illustrious record race that saw more than 20,000 victories in 45 years.
After her debut in Switzerland, the Porsche 911 GT3 R hybrids will be tested in long-distance races around the Nurburgring in Germany. The culmination of the testing program will last 24 hours, the circuit of Nurburgring Nordschleife 14 miles on 15-16 May 2010. However, the emphasis is not on the Porsche 911 GT3 R hybrid race win, but to serve as the spearhead of technology and "lab course" which will provide valuable knowledge and ideas on the future use of hybrid technology in route Current Porsche sports cars.
